American White Pelican
Pelecanus erythrorhynchos

I really liked the nice wingspread on this American White Pelican as it was touching down.

Please view larger post for detail.

All comments and critique very appreciated.

Awesome width of the wingspan on this guy. Almost comical how the feet seem to be gliding on the water. Great shot. :toast:

Great wing position and really nice detail - the larger version is a "must". Nice colours, especially of the water, and the bit of reflections adds interest.
I'd personally clean up the dark spots in the water..

Perfect timing on this one Matt!!! Love the slight touch down splash and wide wing span. Excellent exposure work here too. Great Shot

Great timing, Matt, and spot-on techs. I agree with Sandy on the cooties on the water, but that's a tiny nit on a neat photo.

Nice timing Matt - love the splash and the contrast between the still and rippled water

Great comp and almost head on view. The split water really adds IMO.
