Ringed Kingfisher

From the Ecuadorian Amazon in January with Glenn Bartley, I managed to add to my Kingfisher collection by getting 4 of the 5 available there. This one, the Ringed, Charlie and I sought without success in Texas a couple of years ago, so I was delighted with this one that we got from a paddle boat gently floating downstream towards it.

1D MkIV, 1/640 @ f6.3, 700mm, ISO2500, shaded morning light. CS5 NR.

Hi Kwan, The one major flaw in this photo is that I wasn't on that boat too. Beautiful. Not only a tough bird to get, but quite a good photo for jungle conditions. Evidently you worked at it a little harder than I as I'm still looking for this bird. Well done!
