Solitary Bluebell

We call these flowers Bluebells; another name is Grape Hyacinth. These are growing in my front flower bed right now right through some yellow colored sedum groundcover (that's what is in the BG).

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/8 for 1/13 sec. ISO 100. Tripod mounted. Natural lighting; diffuser used to block out mid-day sun.

A pretty colorful shot- Like very much the diagonal position of the flowers and the strong, complimentary yellow of the BG, perfect for that subject- Thanks for sharing, Fabio

Amazing color combo. I personally love blues and golds. Great angle on the flower to lend interest to the composition of a singular item.

Beautiful, Carolyn! The color combination of blue and yellow work extremely well together.
Composing the flower somewhat diagonally is still another plus. Good DOF choice to
soften the BG.

I just love the colors Carolyn. The sharpness of the hyacinth and their contrast with the BG are wonderful. Very, very well done.

Just about a perfect capture IMO...everything on the main subject is sharp, contrasting nicely with the warm and soft background. I can't think of anything to improve. Very fine capture.
