Flightless Beauty

The female eagle Beauty, who lives at the Miller Park Zoo is from Alaska, where she injured a wing and lost the abiility to fly. I have many shots of these eagles, but just can't resist whenever I am at the zoo and the light is just right to allow detail in the highlights and shadows.

Very nice, John. Lots of detail in the white feathers as well as the brown. Exposure is just right. The BG shows her off very well and is an appropriate one for this bird. Very proud and regal looking gal.

I agree with the other comments, John, a beauty of a bird and composition - very fitting for a bird this majestic. :toast:
