Crocus series #3

Nikon D300, 150mm, F/4.5, 1/125, ISO 320.

The crocuses are closing up for the evening. I love the form of the petals at this stage and the pistils are almost disappearing. Time for them to go to bed and rest. how does this Crocus post rate with the others? Comments appreciated.

Stunning, Albert. I agree with Lorna. Best one yet. This could be my all time favorite crocus photo which is saying something given the many, many outstanding crocus images I've seen here over the last couple years. :toast:

These have all been great, Albert, but I think I like this one the best! I like the frame-filling comp with the OOF flowers at the top, stems and grass blurred in 2/3 of the photo, and then a few flowers more in focus in front. Beautiful!

I love the colors here, Albert. That purple and orange contrast is wonderful. Great detail and composition, also.

Albert, they've all been excellent. The field of light blue here creates a very gentle feeling...like a lullaby.

A difficult question you raise, Albert ! But I think perhaps the isolation of the three blooms here makes this the best for me. Just extraordinarily beautiful work !!!
