Sorry I haven't kept up with the posts. I just came back from an amazing trip shooting osprey (among others). This is just one of the many of the keepers I got from this amazing trip. This is full frame (i.e. no crop).

Thanks for all the comments on the previous posts. I hope you enjoy this one.

Excellent, Goeff. Looks like you found a great vantage point. Exposure looks spot on and the action is great. I might actually add just a bit of sky on the right side-that wing feels just a touch crowded to my eye.

I agree with Dennis. You might lop an equivalent amount off the left. The photo feels a little off balance to me. Excellent job freezing the flight.

Geoff, Boy you sure can frame a flight shot. I agree with Dennis on add a little to the right side. Great action image and techs are right on. I like the comp with the landing target in the frame. Great job.

We all agree to add some canvas on the right. I will say that the image is tack sharp and the action is super.

Geoff, Love the image. Midtones could go darker.

nice job composing this one in camera, Geoff. I think the others are right that it would benefit from a thin strip of added canvas on the right, but it won't take much at all, and should be easy. a nice sharp bird, well-posed, and the prey and the landing zone both add a lot.

Awesome to get this well composed and full frame Geoff, love the fish and the lighting. It's always good to include your equipment and techs (iso, shutter speed, F-stop) in your posts to help us critique and to help us learn from your work. :toast:

Great timing and the wing position is spot on. The catch is a bonus. Techs look spot on , but would as suggested add a bit more to the right is possible.

Great image, Geoff! Really nice comp. I think it could use a little more room on the right, but at least you got him to fit in the frame. Just awesome that this is full frame! Pretty big fish for that osprey...it always amazes me how these guys (and other raptors) can get something that looks way to big (or heavy) for them to carry! Congrats!
