A Good Beginning

I may must be getting older (close to the "Old Grumpy" mark,) but my first thought at getting up super early to go outside, in the damp cold weather to shoot "Tulips" was "Bah-humbug!"
But you know, if the coffee is hot and you can just start taking those first couple of dew drenched beauties, it's really a pretty nice way to spend your morning.
I had a fairly good beginning, just started processing about 90 images and this one floated right to the top of my "Favorites List." Whats really funny is it recorded as image 2012, so maybe thats an indication of a good year for flowers. Woodland Tulip Festival 2012

Craig, beautiful image in my opinion. I love the tightness of the flower, that is just beginning to think about opening, and I relate that to your title.. the colors and background are beautiful, and the overall dewy effect is superb!

Beautifully presented, Craig. Lovely flower, the colours and textures perfectly rendered - and what a bonus the droplets are !

Hi Craig :wavey: One of the first tulip shots  And really well done! The color, light, detail, and the droplets make this a marvelous presentation

Nicely done Craig. I like the nice tulip colors. The water drops add ++ to the image. I wish only a bit more space at the bottom and on the left-right side.

The colors are great, very "soft, warm, and gentle". The dew is a terrific addition. My minor nit is that the oof bright spot sneaking in from the upper left grabs my eyes in a way that the other oof brights don't...go figure  .

Nice tulip portrait. Sweet colors and the dewdrops add a lot.

I'd like to see the out of focus flower behind and above the subject darkened. Viveza might do the job nicely.

Craig, this one is beautiful. Just the right amount of detail couple with softness.
