Jupiter Junction

The last several months the moon has been playing with Venus and Jupiter in the night sky post sunset and a day or two past conjunction. Sunday night was the first opportunity I had to capture one of these interludes.

I know I have been concentrating pretty heavily on the crescent moon photos lately and there is a reason for it that will become apparent in a short time.

For now I would relish any feed back on these.

Nikon D2x, Nikon 80-200mm f/4 at 200mm, f5.6 and 0.8 sec. Three exposures stitched for size.

A very peaceful scene, Youssef, the soft pastels fading into the deeper blue sky are really nice.

You must have the world's largest collection of crescent moon images! This is beautiful Youssef. I love the color graident in the sky, and the comp is sweet.

The Moon Man cometh. Sweet sky and nice simplicity to the image.

I am guessing you are changing the name of your business to something with moon or crescent moon in it. Wild guess.

Ya know Harley, as I was posting this I had the notion to say something specifically to snub whatever you might have said about changing Organic Light to Moon Light or something similar but then what fun would I have had not "hearing" what you had to say  No I have something else in the works with the moons. Let you all know soon. Thanks for the feedback.

Nice capture, Youssef. I'm not getting tired of seeing the moon and the planets come close. Something incredible about it. I was excited to get to see this happening from a small general aviation airplane on a night cross country flight, along with a great sunset.

I like the simple comp, which lets the two subjects shine. Also, the colors are perfect, and natural. TFS!
