Out to Sea

Shot as a storm rolled in on the Atlantic Coast, north/central Florida. This stretch of coastline is unique for us because of the rocky shoreline, and usually I use the rocks a bit more in my composition, but I was really enjoying the water as the rising tide and rain made things pretty rough. F/20 0.6s ISO 100. Thanks for looking!

Loving the drama here Chris. I'm assuming this is a single shot and if so, these sets were really coming in quick! Not the sort of shot I'm used to seeing from Florida-I like it!

Thanks, Jared. This was a single exposure, forgot to mention in the description.

Beautiful shot Chris, this has a very painterly feel to it that I like. The waves look great, almost ghostly. Nicely captured!

Amazing light. Some of the best seas I've seen shot in Florida.

Ooooo. This makes me drool! This is that subtlety I am really enjoying these days. This is powerful but at the same time has a subtle quality to the processing. Excellent!!!! :toast:

Easily the best shore/sea photograph I have seen in awhile. The "brush" strokes of the waves are fantastic.

Wow! It appears you are about to be swallowed up by the large incoming waves. There's intensity mixed with subtle beauty in this, which I think is unique. Also, the exposure time is perfectly perfect, and adds so much to this already great image... TFS!

The motion in the waves is perfect and this has a very ominous feel to it, which I really like. Great light, too. Nicely done.

Very dramatic wave action and beautiful light Chris. The waves almost look like they are standing still. Incredible scene!

Sweet image, Chris. The drama in the water and sky is mesmerizing. :toast: This is being super picky, but what do you think about cloning out or cropping that bright spot toward the URC? Just a suggestion of course. Either way this is beautifully done.
