Still plenty of Aurora images to share from my trip to Scandinavia. This is one of my favorites for sure.

Canon 5D Mark II, 24mm f/1.4, ISO 3200, f/1.4, 2.5 seconds.

Off to the Gorge for the next couple of weeks!

The graceful swirls of light really compliment the trees as well. I like how the distortions of the trees help them point to the aurora. The lower corners look a little too dark for me, not sure if by design. Sweet shot. :toast:

Thanks everyone!

Harry - Great to know, thank you!The corners were tricky to deal with. ISO 3200 on the Mark II was really pushing it and the corners were the hardest to deal with. I took it through a series of solutions and decided on a vignette to address the issue. I appreciate the feedback!

Auroras are quite amazing as a phenomena and produce some wild shapes. Probably no two ever look the same. Nice.

I like how the snow picks up some of the green in the sky. Very cool image.

Pretty cool, Justin. I can see why you like it so much. Can't say I've seen an aurora formation like this before.

At first I was a little disconcerted by the green cast in the fg, but with that sky, how could it not be?! Still, do you think it worth drawing back the green in fg with a light hand? I'm just curious. This is an awesome image as is. What an intense, yet graceful drape of light!

Catherine - You wouldn't believe how much green I already took out! It was pretty unreal. I wanted to leave some in to emphasize the green tint that saturated the entire environment. Thanks for the feedback!

The trees set the stage, and the shape and colors of the aurora steel the show (well...I guess it was always theirs to begin with)!
