Tine de Conflens. This was my first visit to this location. I read some articles and studied some other pictures taken from that location previous to my visit so I had at least a little bit of an idea of the subject I wanted to photograph. Tine de conflens is the confluence of the river Veyron and the Venoge and a jewel in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. Until know it wasn’t a well known place among photographers.

Techs:Nikon D700, AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G ED VR @ 24mm Iso:200, 15sec f10, polarizer

Very nice! Looks like a great location, also. I wonder if there might be a slight green cast to the waterfall (maybe it's natural...), but like the comp and exposure. TFS!

Nice detail and color.. I like how the white on the splash pool appears to be floating on the green water..

The fall is mystical and the setting beautiful. All the green gives this a very serene feel

Lovely shot, Bill. There often is a waterfall but the vegeatation is tricky to include, Here all elements are interesting and look great. Nice sharpening too ;)
On a second look I saw that the little water streams below the waterfall are distorted. Not sure if they are worth a fix for you.

Your slow shutter turning the falls to silk is perfect here. It really lets the falls take center stage with the rocky walls and all of the lovely greens as a great supporting cast.

Hi Bill,

The image looks over sharpened to me, but the scene is definitely magical. That waterfall is gorgeous.

Bill, your image has great impact on me. A fine balanced composition and wonderful details to my eye. I appreciate the way you present the fall like a delicate veil.
