Craig - Lovely soft feel to the frame and terrific representation of the dew drops  . I like that striking Red Color too.

I am not certain that the black background at the top adds much to the photo. The frame looks much better to me when I scroll down the page enough to remove that black background at the top. Let's see if others feel the same way.

Craig, before I read Ram's comment, I was scrolling down looking for a logical place to crop this. To me, this interest here is in the dazzling dew drops. I'd crop this just above the front petal.

Craig:
Without reading what Ram and Scott said, I also thought the upper part is a little dark. Either brighten this a little or crop it.

BTW congrats on GOTM :toast:

Very good composition of this tulip close-up with splendid colors and details. Well presented (except the top part which is a bit dark).

Vivid colour and textures, Craig, making for a powerful effect. Think I agree with others about a bit of a crop from the top but this is well captured.

Thanks to all of you that took a moment to view and share your comments. It seems fairly unanimous that cropping down from the top to eliminate most of the black area would only improve the image. I heard, I did and I agree it does look much better. Thanks again for all those sharp eyes and helping to improve my own viewing and technique. Craig
