While Waiting

As I waited for the sky to light-up so I could capture a mountain reflection I scanned the lake shore and my eyes caught this knarled branch. I repositioned my set-up and composed a couple shots.
I've tried to make the branch standout a bit more in processing.
Any comments or suggestions welcome.

There is a lot going on here compositionally, but this works well for me. The orange-ish moss really draws your eye into the image and the reflections are nice.

I like this a lot. The slight current in the water helps tame the chaos above and the the mossy rock is an excellent subject. The gnarly branch is a great supporting element, IMO/ I do find the highlights just below the rock to be a little too bright for such a peaceful scene.

I croped it down to just above the large boulder and it worked better for me.

I like this. The composition works for me and overall it's a nice, tranquil scene. The rock and its reflection are very strong elements that help carry the image. I would probably take a small crop off the top, to just below the bright branch on the RHS (removing maybe about 10% of the overall image as presented), if it were mine. The bright branch and the more substantial, dark boughs leaving the top of the frame on the LHS are minor distractions.
