Another photo of a flower from my Red Dogwood tree.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/9 for 1/20 sec. ISO 200. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Absolutely gorgeous capture of a beautiful flower. The soft light and dark background set off the flower perfectly.

The red DW blossom against the green BG is really vibrant and striking, and I like the off center comp and inclusion of the leaves. The entire dogwood blossom is nicely sharp due to the f9. My only minor suggestion would be to darken the lighter green vertical object in the BG that runs down the left side, but this is beautiful as presented.
