Excellent pose and colours here! I'm afraid you've lost a lot of detail in the feathers, possibly from an attempt at NR? NR can rarely be applied well to birds, as it gives the feathers a "plastic" or "melted" look. There are also a number of dust spots visible in the large version, and a fair amount of noise left in the BG.
Sounds like a great workshop!

I'm forced to agree with Sandy. Plus there is a slight halo along the back of the head and neck. I think another run at post-processing and you'd have a real winner here. And Malheur is pretty awesome, isn't it?

Love the lighting and the landing pose. It was great showing you around Malheur. I'd remove the spots in the bg. :toast:

I like the colors and exposure Roger, it's a great action capture.
Details look good to me, although we are all chasing that perfect sharpness factor.
Need some TLC as mentioned, but overall I like this one a lot :toast:

This is an excellent capture Roger. I am envious of you being on that trip. I went with Ken and Nate a couple of years ago and it was awesome. I didn't happen to get such a great Ibis shot as this but I still had a great time.

Good looking bird in a great pose. Like the grasses at the bottom. Sensor cleaning seems in order here.

Nice landing pose, Roger. Malheur is one of my favorite places. I like the light and the colors of the Ibis really come through here.

It was a great time photographing with you Roger. And you did very well capturing this beauty in flight, love those colors. Nice wing position and fanned tail too. Looking forward to seeing more from this trip. Excellent Work

Like the pose and light on this. Dust bunnies need to disappear as already stated, but good capture still.

Thanks for your comments. Repost shows selective sharpening if the bird with a bit more feather detail. Spots in the original were not sensor dust, but were present on the water behind the bird. I removed them anyway. all the best.

The repost looks great Roger, I was thinking those probably weren't dust spots when you first posted this, either way it looks much better without them and the feathers look better as well, nicely done. :toast:
