Another image from the rookery at High Island Texas. I just love observing the bird's interaction at the rookery. The little Miss pokes the Mr with her beak, and then within seconds they are kissing  Can anyone else see the heart that is formed as the Great Egrets kiss?

I would go so far as to clone out white egret going out of frame. Great expressions.

Sweet image Dottie, and the heart shape is quite apparent. This would make a great Valentine's Day card! Nice capture.

Repost: Funny how some things are not seen. Thanks Rick! Is this better?

The heart is very cool Dottie! I like the cleaner look of the repost. This crop feels kind of in between to me, it's not quite a portrait and it doesn't include the whole bird. An alternative crop would be to crop from the bottom to just above where the plant is in front of the bird on the left to make it more of a portrait, if the crop holds up as you would lose a lot of pixels. Or if you have much more room at the bottom include it there to include the whole birds. :toast:

Sweet capture, Dottie, and nice work on the whites. I'm not usually a fan of cloning out stuff, but the repost is stronger. I'm fine with your composition.

Nice interaction, Dottie. I'm headed over there this coming Saturday. I spoke with someone at Houston Audubon, and she said that the Roseates have just begun to hatch.

Love the behavior and interaction in this one Dottie! I like the re-post better, but I think it would be even stronger if you cropped it a bit tighter and concentrated more on a portrait of them. If it were mine, I might even crop out the bottom fourth right above the branch.
