Epiphany Falls...

Waaaaaaay up above the mossy grotto on Ruckle Creek. If you decide to go....be prepared! There is a lot of bush wacking and very, very steep uphills to get out. The hike out I believe was like 2600 ft. and what felt like straight up. Thanks for looking.

Wow! Classic Ruckel! Digging the light and detail.. It's so interesting to see shots of falls along this creek where the stream tumbles off an ancient cliff..

This is very nice! I like the warm light and presentation. I heard this area had gone through a bit of a transformation due to fallen trees. But if this is the same falls(Ruckle Creek falls, "Fairyland Falls") I'd say the change isn't for the worse. It still looks pretty sweet there!

Very nice shot Jeremy. I like the blend and the smoothing out of the water is just right. I am quite confused however by your choice of shot ISOs.

Chris - This is not the "fairyland falls" or "the Mossy Grotto", which are the same falls. Epiphany Falls is a couple of miles up stream from those. The ascent up the east side ridge is pretty steep and the decent in to Epiphany is a straight down bushwack into the heart of the of Ruckle Creek.

Walt - My iso choice just came down to trying to stop the leaves in the foreground primarily. I shot the scene at f22, which captured it fine for the water and good enough for the background leaves. The f11 shot was the best I could do to get the foreground leaves to stop, as there was a lot of motion.

Thanks!

Ruckel is definitely one of the tougher hikes - even staying on trail. A real "grinder" as my friend used to refer to it :)

Gorgeous, Jeremy. Love the greens and yellows and your exquisite composition. Well work the back-breaking, butt-busting hike it appears to me.

Really cool image Jeremy. I've heard about these falls, but I've never actually seen an image of this place. I like the comp with the water moving through the frame. Glad you were able to get in and out of here OK.

Spectacular shot! You did an excellent job composing what looks to be a very busy scene and handling the highlights in the ULC. Well worth the effort, I'd say.

Great composition and light. But it looks a bit over processes to me, but that is just personal taste. It's great either way.

I already said this on 500px, but I'll say it again here since you probably didn't see it there.. love this image. The golden light in the upper left is so tasty, and I love the way the waterfall roughly divides the image into yellow and green halves. You made great compositional sense of a busy scene. One of my favorite waterfall/gorge shots I've ever seen. Really excellent.
