We have alot of these around our home... I find them quite soft and graceful.. this was taken with nikond700 on tripod with 70-200mm2.8 and teleconverter to 400mm.
1/160th at 6.3 iso 400.

Pretty shot Sally. We have a lot of these guys hanging around the feeder too. Interestingly they look soft, but the ones at my house are kind of feisty when other birds crowd in on them.

They are pretty skittish here, they do hang around under the bird feeders, etc. to get the ground cover.

I like the photo, Sally, but it looks just a bit soft to me. Without the larger image, it's tough to be sure. Nice BG, too.

Such lovely earth tones in the coloring of the bird, ...and then those glaring RED legs and feet. Looks like the "parts guy" got mixed up putting this model together! Seriously, though, it's a neat shot, Sally, and shows the bird off very well. It's one I don't get to see, but do sometimes hear. Next time I'll look for RED! :wink:

A solid shot of this dove Sally, it looks fairly sharp to me. I like the bg but it looks a little bit noisy :toast:
