Colors of the Wave

Another abstract look at a very abstract place. I just love the Southwest for all the colors, shapes, and lines to be found there and wish I could have more time for exploring it. Thanks for taking the time to look. Comments and critiques always welcome.

A gorgeous mix of colors, and the lighting allows all of the vibrancy and depth to come through. Your comp makes it look like the rock is melting! :toast:

Very nice, Jean! I read Morris's comment and totally agree. It does look like the rock is melting, and that is so cool looking.

Was there recently experimenting with color, shapes, and line. This is classic. Could maybe see burning down the right side a bit to balance better with the darker left side.

Lovely, Jean! The Southwest is one of my favorite photo locations too. I've been to "The Wave"
about 9 years ago. There's nothing like it, and you've done justice to it here. I like the
tonal variations and the lines. Also the textured area on the upper right side gives some
variety to the lined section all around it. You've achieved a real feeling of depth in the image.
Very thoughtfully composed. Thanks for sharing.

Terrific color and light Jean. The lines and textures are also wonderful making the canyon wall look like melted crayons.
