Nikon D5100 w/ Tamron 10-24mm lens
Time-lapse image sequence stacked in Star Stax (free program)
Final image processed in PSE10

Thanks for the feedback on my prior image which was similar to this but didn't have star trails. While I realize there may be some lens distortion (that I still don't know how to correct in PSE10), I thought I'd put this out for your comments/critiques. Thanks in advance!

Tonia, very nice! I like the star trails and the hint of purple in the sky.

Correcting the lens distortion is easy here. I do this in Photoshop, but Elements is probably similar. First select all, then go to the edit menu and look for transform. Choose distort. In this instance, drag the ULC by the handle and pull it to the left. Accept the transformation. That's all there is to it, pretty much. It may work slightly different in Elements, but substantively it should be about the same.

Incredible view Tonia. I like how you positioned the north star in the URC and the silhouetted trees fill the rest of the frame. Nice job.

Thank you everyone! Phil, I will have to see if I can't play around with correcting the distortion (now that I know where to start looking). Thanks for explaining it to me! :wavey:

I've always wanted to try this Tonia, looks great to me.
I think the repost is an improvement..seems very slightly lighter as well? Perhaps it's just me:wink:
