Nearing the Dream

I took this shot while heading towards the Perito Moreno glacier on foot to fulfill my dream of hiking this amazing natural structure.

What do you guys think of the composition? Is there too much sharpening? I know that the ski is a bit underexposed.

I would appreciate any of your feedback. Thanks!

Looks like an amazing place. The sky looks properly exposed to me, although I don't like how it gets darker towards the right. The placement of the clouds isn't the best either. Especially the big one in the center is just too dominant. The only thing you could have done here is to wait a little. The overall composition is fine. A minor improvement could be not to have the big foreground rock dead center. But on top of all that, thanks for sharing this great view with us.

Leo,

This is indeed a great view. I think this does a couple of things, one, this works well to put the glacier in context of the surrounding landscape and two, you've got a great sky and solid composition. No nits really, I'm only sorry you didn't receive any more comments.

That is one impressive glacier. I like the way you presented it in the context of the rest of the land. The clouds almost feel unreal here. Maybe it's the sharpening, but unsure.

Thanks Andreas, Lon, and Tony for your feedback/suggestions. It was an amazing place and I hope to go back next year.

I forgot that I used a Polarizing filter on this shot, and that's why the clouds stand out so much, and maybe why the sky is a bit darker on the right side.

Thanks again guys!
