We experienced a bountiful afternoon shooting these Skimmers, although, I think the morning shot Skip Harris posted is far superior.

I have only managed once to get one skimmer in good detail, and you got two! Oh, well done!

Philip,
Skimmers have been very active this past two weeks at Bolsa Chica, and are flying in an area where we are readily able to photograph them. We had several photos where a third Skimmer was part way in the frame.

Check out Skip Harris' photo from yesterday where a flock is flying close to still water with reflection of each. It is stunning.

Interesting comp Patrick..I like both skimmers that straddle this diagonal beakwater in identical pose.
