One of a pair nesting a few miles south of town. Once in awhile, I catch him sitting on a fence post along the road, but he is usually up at the nest platform, on the top of a power pole, or in a tree. Have to take advantage of this opportunity. He stayed there for quite a bit while I got off a lot of shots as he changed positions and fluffed (roused, if you are a falconer) his feathers. It was cloudy and breezy there this morning. Also got some pretty good shots of some other birds which I will post a couple of later. Thanks for all the comments....greatly appreciated.
All wild and natural - no setups or baiting ever
