B.Throated Blue Warbler

Another Maine warbler, this time a Black-throated Blue. Horribly poor lighting this day, was happy to get some sharp shots with high ISO and low SS.

Canon 50D, 400 5.6L, ISO 640, 1/50, f5.6. Slight crop, no other edits.

Gorgeous photo of this bird, Terry. Colors are great, nice comp, and he gave you a nice pose and look. Nice and sharp, too and considering the 1/50th exposure, you timed it perfectly. Hope you had a nice trip to Maine. I lived there for over 20 years and really miss it.

It is beautiful Terry. I don't see much ill effect from the ISO setting.

great job with little to no light, Terry. not a species we see here often, so I imagine the light's not the only challenge in capturing these guys. would love to see one of these, let alone get a shot like this with good pose and nice setting.

Pretty bird!!! You did extremely well, especially in the crummy light with a warbler, which as we know never sit still.
