This was taken this morning at a local park. I actually had to sit down in the water at the edge of the marsh but I was prepared as I had on rubber boots and waterproof pants. I was very happy with this shot.

Nikon D300s, f6.3, 1/1000, 300 plus 1.4 teleconverter, tripod.

May, I really like this image of an elusive bird. The BG, FG and the reflection make this image for me. Great job.

A tough bird to catch, and this is excellent!
Wonderful pose, with the raised leg and intent stare. Nice colours, and the ripples add a lot.

This is so good. That raised foot, just out of the water, adds a lot, and the reflections and smooth water are just beautiful.

Neat pose and nice low angle. Raised foot is a plus. If this were my image I would be tempted to tone down the vertical line intersecting the bird in the bg and see if it makes it less obvious.

It is easy to see why you are happy with this shot. I really like it. The reflection and the colors make this a stunning pict. Like the low angle also.

This is an awesome photo of a sora May, I have never seen one in the open like this. Sweet portrait with good detail, I love the low perspective, water ripples, water color and of course that reflection. Great Shot
