Grass

This little grove of trees and tall grass is just off the road at Carvers Gap - Roan Mountain on the TN/NC boarder. This is actually about 100 feet on the NC side. Great little find. A dark cloud passed over just long enough for our group to get 10 minutes under the trees and in the grass.

Now I want to go back and shoot the same scene with (1) fog and (2) breeze blowing the grass.

Very nice scene. Looks like a place to spent some time shooting. Hopefully everything will come together like you mentioned! So are we looking into TN?

Terrific location, the light on the grass beneath the trees is very nice and the receding trunks are most alluring. Excellent color managment

The bright greens are wonderfully inviting and the trees leading in add nice depth. Looks like a visit and revisit.

Very nice peaceful feeling to this image. The colors are handled very well and it has nice depth to it.

Richard,

I like the grass here too and I like your idea of returning here to try some different things. I think the blowing grasses would work well and you might have some abstract potential

The only suggestion I have would be a crop from the top to remove the patches of sky. Not only are they little eye magnets, but by cropping down from the top you really create more of an emphasis on the grasses, which I think is what you want in the first place. Even still, I like this quite a lot. Well done.

This is very nice. There is a nice inviting feel here which I quite enjoy. I also enjoy the natural look of this scene. Crop out all that sky and this takes on a whole new look that works wonderfully!!
I see now...just as Lon suggested! It does wonders for it imo. Beautiful image!
