Gorgeous. Very creative use of a shallow DOF.

I just got the 200 micro and am considering extension tubes. What are you using?

Mark - You will be very happy with the 200mm. There are many other lenses which will rival it on sharpness and other technical parameters but I love the barrel of this lens. Its so well built and smooth. I am using Kenko Tubes - 36mm, 20mm and 12mm (IIRC). On the 36mm Tube which I use often, I do see a little play between the Tube-Lens. May be just my copy - but something I can manage with.

Thanks, Ram. I've been leaning toward the Kenko while shooting with my 105 for the past couple of years but was hoping/waiting for Nikon to update their extension tubes. Doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon....

Cool shot Ram. It has a molten/volcanic look to it that I like.....expresses movement. Nice.

Absolutely stunning! Great flow to the image and gradiation in color which provides the varying "hills and valleys."
