I took this image of a garden flower this morning and liked the blurred sense of color. Processed minimally in LR4.
Canon 5d, m3, ISO640, f/3.2, 1/100 sec with 100macro. Back lit.

I like it. It's got a little of everything—soft focus, enough sharp to tell the story, back lighting and sweet soft colors. Good job!

Kathy - I think Phil summed it up nicely. It has the right balance of everything. I specially like the painterly effect to the frame and also the soft shadow of the innards on the sepal

I had to look at this photo for a bit to make sense of what all I was seeing. But that's a good thing! It keeps the viewer looking longer. This has many interesting elements to it that all blend together in an appealing way--the variety of colors, the peek-a-boo look between the petals to a vivid blurred view of??, the silhouettes on the backlit leaf, the two seeds(?), and again those stunning colors! Nice shot, Kathy!

Beautifully done, Kathy ! The colour harmonies are simply gorgeous, and it's a very satisfying composition as well.

Well chosen POF on this flower. Love the brilliant colors throughout but especially the bg that is so appealingly "washed" with vibrant tones.
