Nikon D800E, 300 2.8 with 25mm extension tube,1/100 @f9, Gitzo and BH55RRS head. Processed in Lightroom, CS6, and Nik within CS6. I made selections of the subject in CS6 before going into Nik which makes things much easier... at least to me :-)) Image taken at Kenilworth Gardens in DC.

Terrific detail in the lotus...the 800/800E are amazing cameras. You're timing was spot on as any movement from that bee would've shown at 1/100 sec.

Mark, I am in love with the 800E. As I have said before the Dynamic Range is incredible. You can dig in the shadows forever. Light years ahead of my Canon 5DII (not meant to offend Canon folks... which I was till a few months ago).

Bunn:
As beautiful as any lotus image can be! Like the OOF leave pattern in the bg. The bee looks nice but I am not sure it contribute much to the image overall as the lotus is clearly the main subject. The drops are refreshing though.

Bunn - I agree with Gary's assessment. I like the exposure here compared to previous - gels with the Pinks I have seen myself on Lotuses. Water Drops add much to the beauty.

The lotus is beautiful, and I like the addition of the bee. While the lotus is captivating on its own, the bee makes the image special. :toast:

Love the gentle colors and lines in the flower and the sharp bee landing is whipped cream on the pie. Lovely image.

Sweet! I debate whether the bee adds or distracts....for the elegant look...a bee could be cloned out. Super DOF and droplets are perfect.
