Coneflower

To give company to Barbara Graham's Coneflower posting. I am beginning to like Coneflowers photographically. Lots of good photos to be made with these flowers.

ND300s, AFS 105mm F/2.8 VR Micronikkor with 36mm of ET, F/4.5 (almost wide open), 1/800 Sec, Diffuser, ISO400 and Tripod. As I was really close to the flower, I moved another coneflower using my left hand just behind the subject flower for the pink background.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Red Hibsicus and let me know if you like this one.

Ram: I love coneflowers and we have a bunch of them in our garden but I've tended to shoot them as butterfly perches. I think I better get focused on just the flowers. I especially like this variety and your take on it. Beautiful shot.>=))>

Great presentation! DOF and lighting is spot-on. I am guessing you carefully aligned the tilt - for this appears perfectly balanced as you have reconciled the center portion and petals which are not quite in sync...

Ken : That is correct. I shot slightly at an upward angle and not flush with the center to get this effect and it was intentional.
