I don't REALLY want to post this one RIGHT next to Marsel's awesome shot of the arches at night...but what the heck, it's all about sharing, right?

Captured at 4am earlier this year in the Kalahari desert (timed to get the moon out of the way for more vivid stars).

This is a great image. The night sky is super. The way you lit up the foreground and trees adds a surreal feeling.

You're too kind.

The sky is awesome, and the light on the trees is great as well - just the right amount of light. I'm not too crazy about the foreground - a small pride of lions would have been nicer.

I'd clone out the white line next to the right edge of the frame, even though it might be a falling star or the Enterprise. It's just too close to the edge.
