Noticed this dragonfly last week when I was looking for birds at the Horicon Marsh. There was a light breeze, but it died down for enough time to allow me to take a few shots. This was the best of the lot.

1D3, 600mm+1.4x (no snickering now), Tripod, F7.1@1/1250s, ISO640.

Excellent capture of this colorful DF. The background is perfect and the subject is very sharp. Great result from the 600mm+1.4. :toast:

I enjoy the colors, outstanding BG & well composed too.
Great detail/sharpness where it counts.
Don't see many shots at this FL for DF's..
I've done the same thing waiting for a bird - makes life more interesting :wink:
