Great find! Nice colors and comp. A huge amount of noise, though. and quite soft - not sure what happened here. Is this a very large crop?

I like this overall, it's an interesting macro subject Nancy.
It appears there's excessive noise due to your crop and/or other factors.
I suggest trying to fill your frame when shooting, to minimize the crop in PS.
Other factors that cause unnecessary noise are shooting jpeg vs raw, and/or over compensating for exposure problems in PS..
Hope this helps a bit & have a great weekend!

Heavy and objectionable noise, probably from post processing. Borrow, beg or buy a tripod, or even a monopod. It is an interesting shot with nice color and comp.

Nancy, I like your composition in this photo. Good job of spotting this. I go along with the noise and for me the colors are a bit harsh. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Nancy. Interesting take on this pine bud. I like the comp and subject. Others have commented on the noise, saturated colors, and softness. I assume this image is more of an artistic interpretation, and I applaud your originality.
