Helichrysum?

My wife (who ought to know) says this is a Helichrysum.

Shot a few days ago at the National Botanic Garden, Wales.

I took three manually focused shots at f/2.8 then stacked them in Helicon. That gave me an in-focus flower and a nice blurry background, which I enhanced with the motion blur tool in CS6 Photoshop.

I love the lighting on this! I also really like the diagonal flow of the background...neat image!

Rob:
Like the effect you have created with the motion blur in the bg making the bloom looks like its speeding upwards diagonally. Good stack.

Rob - Love the background blur introduction - specially that its moving diagonally complementing the orientation of the flower.

Great job on the stack and your choice of f2.8 looks to be just right. The motion blur effect adds a nice element.
