Evening light on a stretch of Buffalo Creek. The brookies were biting particularly well and the gentle breeze held the skeeters at bay. it just doesn't get any better than this. thanks for looking. Comments appreciated

Sounds like a delightful evening! A nice shot, but I do have a couple of suggestions. I would crop a little off the top, maybe 10%, and I might have chosen a smaller aperture (f/11 to f/16) since the closest FG seems a little out of focus. This would be a prime candidate for double processing or a blend as the stream appears somewhat blown and the grass a bit dark, at least on my work monitor. Given a little more work this would be as inviting as your description sounds. Just my .02 of course.

I think Bill is right on with his suggestions. But, kudos to you for "seeing" this scene, and very nearly translating your vision. Just tame those highlights in the water some more. I like your comp a lot here, and with just a little more work, you will have it.

Great job of seeing. The golden glow in the water is great and the backlit paintbrush in the distance are a nice addition. I agree that some sophisticated processing would enhance this, but it's lovely as presented. The skeeters in Canada were ferocious and plentiful as well...the stores in Jasper were sold out of repellant when we first arrived!

Nancy, I like your comp here and it has a pleasant feel. Maybe just a little crop of the top, but I think not much more than just the dark edge. If you could get those highlights down it would help. Bill had some good thoughts on this.
