Verdins are fun birds and difficult to shoot due to their small size and hyper activity. You did good getting this one in such an open spot and on such a nicely arched twig.
Color seems a bit off, though - I'd reduce the amount of green in this. I'd also crop more from the left (and add some back on the right if you have it and it isn't distracting) to eliminate the brightest bits of sky on the left and de-center the Verdin.

Nice capture John, I like the puffed up pose here. I agree with Richard about the comp - I would crop off the left 1/3 to move the bird back in the image and to eliminate the bright sky which competes a bit with the subject.

Richard has pretty well covered the ground I wanted to cover. Nice detail in the bird. Since I have never seen one of these, I can't comment on the color, but Richard is most likely right.

Excellent detail, pose and perch and great eye contact. Don't know abut the color, but agree about the composition.

John, I can't speak to the color of the bird, but I don't see an issue with the greens. Based on the color of the weeds in the BG, they seem fine to me, but I wasn't there so, you are probably the best one to confirm that.
I do agree about cropping more off the left side though...just for my taste, I like taking more off the back side so the image seems more balanced. Really nice detail on this and good job of getting the bird to pop with such a busy BG to work with.

Looks to me like you really nailed the bird here, John......really nice detail and color there. As for the centering, it looks to me like there was probably too much vegetation to the right of the bird closer to the camera lens, and that is why you chose to crop it where you did? Well done in any case.

Pose and detail of the bird is really nice, agree with the crop suggestions but either way a very nice shot.
