A young American Avocet from yesterday at the local refuge. Lots of them around as the hot weather has made mud flats out of normally water-filled areas.

A nice look at this little fuzzball, well exposed and nice and sharp. Since you weren't able to get a full reflection, I might have opted for a lower POV. Nice shot.

A nice clear image of the youngster. A lower angle, if possible, would have been desirable, but not from a vehicle window. I've hit that limitation too often myself. The birds are probably used to auto traffic, and vanish when you get out to get lower. :frown:

Beautiful image, Dave. I love the fuzzy plumage. A lower angle, if it were available might have gotten more eye contact.

Very nice light, color and details Dave. I do wish for a lower angle, but that isn't always possible.
