Nice isolation of the rock against the smooth flow of water. I like the rock detail and the emerald color of the water. The balance feels like it needs a bit of the crop from the right. Nice one Danny.

Danny,

First I'll just tell you that I think this is wonderful! But then I'll have to say and maybe explain why I like this one so much, but no so much your last one. Both have a large rock very dominant in the frame, so why do I prefer this one? Any number of reasons really, but I love the colors here, the rock is much better looking... ;-) Also, the low perspective here lets us explore the stream, rocks, water and colors that surround the rock, even though the rock is large in the frame. The previous image I commented that I wanted to see more of the sparkly water, but was constrained and so the big rock just took over.

Anyway, just some thoughts. I'm really enjoying this one.

Lon

But this is one of the better rocks-and-water pictures I've seen. At least on the laptop it looks great. The textures and colors here are very appealing.

The large version is especially nice. Some great detail in such a small scene. Very good work.

Very nice Danny. I like the detail of the lichen on the rock and the blurred emerald green water adds to make this a very nice intimate image. :toast:

I really like the contrast of the sharp rock and softer water Danny, and the wonderful green rounds the photo out nicely.

Wow. A spectacular site to behold. There are 'wow', big, vast landscape shots, and these focused, detailed captures of hidden treasures. I'm liking this little scene...
