Rick, What a beautiful place. I could sure see spending time here! I like how the river winds and winds around not being in a big hurry. This feel very quiet and peaceful to me.

The bright blue of the river is quite lovely as it meanders through the warm tones of the vegetation. the distant haze is a little distracting but does help to create the peaceful, sleepy feel of this image. Nice.

The natural meander of the river really does a nice job of holding my attention. Sort of wondering about cropping some or all the sky to make the river a strong focal element.

I think you can lose at least half of the sky to focus on the good stuff down below.

Thanks, everyone for looking and for the comments. The sky is boring and adds nothing to the image. I think a crop is the way to go.

I agree with the crop suggestions. I like how the rivers meanders diagonally through the frame.

Spectacular valley Rick. This is one of those places where a return trip for a dramatic sky would be well worth it!

I like your comp, and I like Tony's suggestion about cropping the sky as it doesn't have much interest. I also like John's suggestion about revisiting this with better skies.
