Red Panda

Taken at the Miller Park Zoo. These lesser pandas are one of my favorite animals. Fortunately this young male posed nicely for me, but the shadows and leaves created a bit of a tricky light situation. Shot this early in the morning when it was still somewhat cool. Did use fill flash on about half the shots, but liked this one w/o flash.

I did not know there were Red Panda's and had to look them up. A nice look from the panda and what an interesting color scheme.

Hey John,

I've always liked Red Pandas myself - greater patterning on their coat and just darned cute - just super photogenic little guys...

Tough lighting here (as you mentioned), but the shot still works. I'm guessing (and could be wrong) that you aren't into making too many selective edits/changes to an image, but if you are...I think toning down the bright green background some would improve this shot considerably.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
