Lunch buffet is served

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted August 2, 2012131 views6 comments

Taiga Bluet Damselfly (Coenagrion resolutum) munching on a hapless creature. Unfortunately, I could not reposition to get a frontal or 3/4 view.

Canon 7D, Sigma 150 macro, ISO 500, f/8.0, 1/160 sec, HH (seated on ground with elbows braced against knees), natural light. PP in LR4. Added (CS5) small strip of canvas on right and cropped to 94 % for composition

Thanks for looking. C & Cs are always welcome. Roger.

I like the pose on the leaflets against the nice background and the excellent complete subject detail.

Terrific sharpness throughout the damsel. I got a couple of shots of these damsels during my Edmonton sojourn, but nothing close to this good. The leaves are a fine addition. I could see adding a bit more space on the right, but that's a very tiny nit.
