In this site Alister Benn has one of the most beautiful nightscapes I've seen, well this is my daytime version
Canon 5DII, Samyang 14 mm f2.8, ISO 50, Manual blending of four exposures

Incredible image Jose. I really like the framing and light. Shutter speed is perfect as well to give some nice texture in the water. The blending looks very good in the larger version.

An interesting one, this. Interesting because I had a very strong negative reaction when I first saw it. Now there's a fair bit of stuff posted here that I don't really care for and I usually just ignore it without feeling moved to comment - so why am I telling you all this? Well, this is one disturbing image!

Firstly, there's the water movement. This stuff is quite trendy - long exposure swooshing waves - but here it sets my teeth on edge. It makes me feel nervy because I don't know where my eyes should settle and they just flit around but that's only the half of it. The twin cave entrances are like the eye-sockets of a skull, one just a void and the other with a strange 'eye' in the form of the distant rock. This wouldn't be half so bad if it wasn't for the colour and texture of the sunlit rock which puts me in mind of time-worn bone.

I guess there's a sort of nightmare thing going on here which is rather unsettling and perhaps not what you intended. My problem is that can't quite work out if that is good or bad....

A fabulous photo in all aspects. I love it! I can't imagine you taking that shot without getting soaked! :toast:

I like the comp quite a bit. The fact that it appears like a skull makes this even more unique. The large version really looks good with lots of detail and a good choice of SS for the water,

Unlike Julian, this is very eye catching for me. Different strokes for different folks.
I would like the story on how you did this, exp information etch. Good capture

Magnificent view! My eye is pulled out into the lager opening, then over to the distant arch and back into the foreground, body surfing on the waves. Shutter speed is perfect for my taste since it feels very natural, without any camera "trickery." Very fast exposures seem to freeze motion in a way that our eyes are not capable of seeing, and those super-long exposures often just look weird, calling attention to the camera rather than the subject.

I'm also interested in the story of how you managed this point of view without soaking your camera.

There is a lot to like here -- great water action and shutter speed, killer comp (the rock formation framed by the arch is top notch), and great light. My mind's eye wants to see something in the left arch too, but that's a relatively small nit for an image this nice.

Thanks Jose for the mention, knowing this location so well, I can only take my hat off to you for your bravery to get in there, even on a falling tide... Your intimate knowledge of the Asturias coast allows you to take simply the best images I have seen of that area... Congrats on another stellar image...

What a fun image Jose. This has a very natural feel to it that creates a very calming effect for me. The distant stack adds a nice element of interest and depth.

eye catching composition indeed - i'd have expected more golden reflection on the water??? the eye sockets of a skull does come to mind ... ghoulish image! interesting textures to the water.

Many thanks to all for the comments. Rick and Wayne, the problem to reach this place is that must be done with the right tide. This implies a significant risk to the equipment (and my body ) because in the entrance of some areas you're exposed to strong swell. Furthermore, the interval time for this
composition is too short, not more than thirty minutes. With more tide you can not be accessed and with less the waves has no sufficient level to give movement to the composition. Between late spring and early autumn at sunset the light sun enters laterally into the left opening, illuminating
with that yellow light the cave. So the possibilities of take this picture are very few  . Thanks again

Gorgeous light and very well presented. Feels like the water is about ready to spill out of my monitor.
