Mt Barney Creek, Queensland.

Morning sun dapples golden light through the forest canopy onto Mt Barney Creek.

D800, 3 shots dof blended f/10, 1.3 sec, ISO 100 + a lower exposure painted in for the sky.

c&c greatly appreciated, cheers.

Gold it is. Nice contrast between water and rock. Leading line of the creek to the back of the image is real nice and the reflection off the water. Nice work David.

Nicely composed with the water leading us through the image. Blend has worked well.

I like how your pp is wringing out every nuance without going overboard. With detail in the shadows and a natural brightness to the highlights. Excellent comp with great depth as well. Beauty! :toast:

Great shot David! I'm enjoying the light and POV on this shot. Good composition.

Beautiful shot. The shutter speed really lets the creek lead back into the forest and the light is wonderful. As a minor nit, the bright yellow/green trees in the area above the distant creek feel too bright relative to the dark blue sky above them.

this is really nice. Some people wouldn't think of taking this shot in harsh light, but you've controlled it well. I like the sprinkling of sunshine. Good job. :toast:

David, Your large version of this is so interesting to look at, and very nice too! I enjoy looking at this scene a lot. Nice work!

Really love your choice of composition here David, the flow in the water takes me right in there. Really well controlled highlights in this too. Beautifully sharp and detailed.

Cheers, Gary.

Really like the intensity of color you were able to bring out here. The evenness of light in what would normally be expected to be quite contrasty is extraordinary.

Very enjoyable image David. Not only beautiful comp and scene, but incredible dynamic range captured here. I could stand just a tad darker shadows in the midground.
