Heart and Initials

Place: Phoenix, AZ
Date: July 12, 2012
Equipment: iPhone 3GS, 3.9mm, hand held
Exposure: ISO 64, 1/200th second at f/2.8
Raw, PS CS4, 64% of frame (2MP)

The iPhone was a hand-me-down from a friend who replaced it with a newer model – I don’t even have phone service but find it a very handy tool in so many ways. One of those is always having a camera available.

I saw this chalk inscription on a large rock bordering a parking lot where I take my wife to see a doctor each month and grabbed a few shots. The area covered isn’t much different from the size of the iPhone. Later, I got shots with my D300 for better IQ but this was a great way to make sure I had captured an image that might not have been there when I returned.

As always: honest critiques requested; all comments appreciated.

I must confess I rarely use the camera on my phone; just hasn't gotten to be part of my thinking. However, it certainly would be great to utilize so as to always have a camera available for those unexpected photo ops that may not stick around. . .such as this! Great find that certainly shows a moment in time of someone's life and experiences. And something we can all most likely identify with doing at one point or another in our lives.
