Log on Beach

Large log washed up on beach with dramatic cloudy skies as Tropical Storm Debby moved into Florida. Large driftwood is uncommon on this section of Florida's Atlantic coast. I was on my beach walk and only had my iPhone4 (if I take my real camera, I stop too much and it defeats the purpose of exercise).
I particularly like how the light area of the sky seems like a triple opposite to the log, flipped both horizontal & vertical and light/dark.

Nice moody shot. Further evidence that it's not the camera but the camera operator that makes all the difference.

Washed up objects always make me curious where they came from and their history. Nice shot of this large driftwood. I like the comp and the cloudy, dramatic sky. Those phones can take some pretty nice pictures.

I too have tried taking my DSLR camera along on exercise walks and have also found that it doesn't work! I get little exercise from all the stopping. . .

The fog and drift wood reminds me of California's north coast. Very nice and dramatic scene, and I agree about bringing along the big cameras. I was hiking in the redwoods with my wife and daughter a couple of weeks ago and they got tired of waiting for me.
