Dahlia Dream

Canon 5DIII, 70-200 f/2.8 II @ 135mm, + Tubes, 1/30sec @ f2.8, ISO 100

I like to vary the aperture on these Dahlia shots to see what comes up. This one was shot at f/2.8, wide open. I kinda like the dreamy feel of it.

Comments and critiques appreciated.

Thanks,

My, oh my that is sweet! The combination of softness and edges is spot on! The photo is well balanced in the frame and dimensionally as well.

David - Great choice of aperture here to leave the center overly sharp the the rest soft. Colors and composition also go a long way to make this a very attractive shot.

Great choice on the DOF. The purple tips surrounding the center look sharp, accenting that detail. I like the classic comp. Excellent image, David. :toast:

Dreamy feel accomplished! I like it a lot. The soft colors combined with shallow DOF are super.

Yep, very dreamy and delicious! You nailed the pof on this shallow focus image. So well done.

I love Dahlia Time. It's a tie with Tulip Time.
