Summer Stroll

This young brown bear was taking his daily stroll though a nice patch of downed logs and wildflowers. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens. I wish his eye was visible, but none of the shots show it.

Comments welcomed.

The zig zag of logs creates an interesting visual pattern, as well as documenting behavior with the little guy walking the logs. Too bad about no eye, and I know bears are pretty tricky that way. I think the flowers are a wonderful accent.

The smaller size of this young guy against the fallen trees and flowers does a wonderful job of showing the ruggedness of the environment these guys live in and how (deceptively) athletic they are - can't imagine hiking through that tangle for a 'daily stroll'
