Bull in the Bushes

Found this bull browsing in the thick stuff (5-8 foot Alders), so I had a hell of a time getting a decent shot. Not sure about the antler discoloration, don't remember having seen anything quite like it before.

As always, comments & suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Nice image Guy. A little different from the usual portrait of a big male moose. I have seen various members of the deer family with multi colored antlers as the velvet starts to dry. Thanks for sharing.

I think you have framed well for an intimate portrait. I find the lines on his nose to be intriguing! Color temp feels a little warm, but that is highly subjective. All in all, neat shot.

Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated. John - I've also seen deer and elk with multi-colored velvet, but the white streaking continues down his head and nose as well (though this photo doesn't show it). Definitely a different looking bull, that's for sure.

This is a great in your face shot Guy. Love the eye and love the varicolored antlers. Nice.
