Okay, last one. I could go on and on as these birds were very cooperative and kept me busy for a week of shooting. I was using a blind of course, so they never knew I was there. Fun to watch the family grow up and move on. Thanks everyone for your comments along the way.

What a great gift to be able to photograph these magnificent birds, we don't have any form of kite up north. Using a blind sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to observe natural behavior uninfluenced by human presence. Love the excellent posture, head turn and wing/tail positioning.

Chrlie, the whole series was excellent, but this is the best one, IMO.
Being level with the bird allowed this exceptional pose and view of the fanned tail.
Great eye, perfect comp/BG colours, and amazingly sharp.

Excellent! Looks like an emblem or symbol of some kind for which the pose & central location are perfect. Love the background.

What a wonderful series and you clearly saved the best for last

I love everything about this shot, but the fanned tail puts this one over the top for me - well done.

Wonderful timing to get this pose, just outstanding, excellent series of these beautiful birds, that must of been quite an experience to be able to watch these birds, the larger image was a pleasure to view.
