Cleome series #4

Nikon D300, 150mm, F/14, 1/20, ISO 200. Cable release.

This was taken at f/14 to show the detail of the stems and petals, it's not dreamy as #1 but I like a little variety in my series. Comments appreciated.

Yes, you have a nice variety in your Cleome series, Albert. This is nice but I think I like #1 and #2 better. These flowers have such beautiful colors and interesting elements but I have always found them hard to photograph. You have inspired me to try again.

Albert - Another nice one from the Cleome Series. Like all the details the higher DOF has brought forward here ! :wavey:

Excellent series, Albert. It's always interesting to see all the different takes that creative photographers can come up with from the same subject. I like the soft of the first, but this is a nice contrasting perspective.

I think this is my favorite of the series as the way I look at it there is a main subject (the pink blossom toward the URC) and a supporting cast. This is such a busy plant that any kind of order would be difficult to compose but it works best in this one, IMO.

Another great addition to the series. It is nice to see different POV and DOF in your series.

Albert, the various colors in the petals are wonderful and I like your dof choice here. I'd like to see this taken from a bit further back to include the cut off petals both at the top (the deep magenta group) and bottom, the light magenta clusters (lrc, and bottom middle).

Beautiful light and colors. They play well off each other. Nice placement of the pink flower. Terrific work.

I like the variation in color in the petals Albert. The DOF shows off the attributes of the flowers very well.

I like the focal point you have here, Albert, and the texture of the flowers. Nice choice of depth of field, too. Lovely image!
